INTACS™ Prescription Inserts Range in United States for treatment of Keratoconus
Fremont, California, May 1, 2010 – Addition Technology, Inc., the maker of INTACS prescription inserts for surgical vision correction, announced today that it has received FDA approval for an expanded range of prescription corneal inserts for the treatment of Keratoconus.
With these new insert sizes, INTACS inserts, already approved in Europe for several years, a greater range of Keratoconus patients can be treated.
In the United States, INTACS inserts have long been approved for the treatment of low myopia.
Addition Technology, Inc. manufactures INTACS prescription inserts, the only additive refractive corneal implant approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
