My waking hours are like a new life for me. Dr. Pabalan and his staff are great! I had so much fun that if I had three eyes, I would get that one done also!

My name is Jace Edwards. Ever since I was 12 years years old, I had to depend on either contacts or glasses. I participated in numerous sports (football/wresting/surfing/snowboarding); during such activities I was limited in my performance due to bad eyesight. Throughout college and the Marine Corps I found glasses and contacts to be the bane of my existence. I was definitely frustrated with my vision situation.
Then I met Dr. Francisco Pabalan @ Inland Vision Care. Dr. Pabalan explained to me the benefits of both LASER and INTACS. Through careful consideration and education from Dr. Pabalan, I decided to try INTACS. I had no fear since, unlike LASIK, INTACS are completely reversible and can also be changed out or upgraded as time and technology progresses. Since I worked nights (7pm-midnight) hosting my radio program (KCAL FM), Dr. Pabalan and I decided to do only one eye at a time, allowing me to adjust to the halo effect I would have. I must state that I normally have large pupils to begin with, therefore Dr. Pabalan warned me of the halo effect, but through education and preparation I was able to deal with the effect and adjust.
After three months with my left eye containing an Addition Technology Intacs ring and my right eye being aided by glasses, we decided to move forward and install the ring in the right eye. Within 26 hours, my vision was amazing! I began noticing little things I had lost over the years, like edges, leaves, cloud shapes. I did have an extreme halo effect at night, but with Dr. Pabalan's preparation and guidance I was able to incorporate the halo effect and not be hindered by it.
I am now in the healing process and quite happy with the vision that I have at this time. Knowing that over the next year my vision will be slightly improving as my eye conforms to the shape of the Intacs ring makes me feel VERY comfortable with the decision I made under Dr. Pabalan's guidance. I have recommended Dr. Pabalan, Inland Vision Care, and the Intacs ring to everyone I have met who has a need for contacts or glasses, and in my line of work that is A LOT of people!
